XL4-RS Semicircular penstock

High stability and reliability of the XL4-RS semicircular penstock allow for trouble-free and safe operation of your facility.

Pre-stressed sealing provides outstanding tightness to the XL4-RS semicircular penstock, both with pressure towards and against sealing direction.

With the installment of easy slideover wedges on both sides, one light, but torsionally stuff sliding plate and the high-grade steel Framework functioning as a sealing surface, the XL4-RS provides outstanding sealing qualities.

The sealing is mounted directly on the sliding Plate. Therefore if necessary the exchange of the sealing is any time possible by just pulling the sliding plate just pulling the sliding plate out of the frame.

• Frame: Stainless steel SS304 or SS316Ti

• Sealing: EPDM, wastewater-resistant or NBR
• Stem: Stainless steel SS304 or SS316Ti
• Stem nut: GC-CuSn 12, seawater-resistant bronze
• Dowels: Stainless steel SS316Ti

Sealing performance

• Less than 1 % on-seating and 5 % off-seating of the permissible leakage in accordance to DIN 19569-4.
• Steel framework functioning as a sealing surface.
• Steady sealing performance irrespective of water level (standard up to 0,6 bar, higher pressure on request).
• Sealing anytime changeable by removing plate.
• Wastewater resistant sealing material.
